Crystal Clear Bins was built on a simple belief: even the smallest habits can make a big difference in keeping our community clean. As a dad and a creative storyteller, founder Troy Ellis wanted to build more than a service — he wanted to build a movement.

While designing the comic‑book universe behind Crystal Clear Bins, Troy realized the brand could do something powerful: teach kids about the environment in a way that’s fun, memorable, and empowering. Trash bins aren’t just smelly — when they’re not cleaned properly, the runoff can carry bacteria and pollutants into storm drains, which flow directly into our local rivers and the Atlantic. That means cleaner bins don’t just help families — they help protect the waterways that make Eastern North Carolina special.

This idea inspired the creation of the Clean Team, a kid‑friendly initiative that turns environmental responsibility into a heroic mission. Through simple lessons, activity sheets, and community events, kids learn how to:

• Proper Disposal at Permitted Facilities All wastewater is transported to permitted waste‑handling facilities where it undergoes professional treatment. Only after it has been fully processed and cleaned is it released back into the environment — never before.
• Protecting Local Waterways By preventing contaminated runoff from entering storm drains, we help protect the Neuse River, local creeks, and the coastal waters that make Eastern North Carolina special. Cleaner bins mean cleaner communities — and cleaner waterways for future generations.
