Welcome to Crystal Clear Bins. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
Crystal Clear Bins provides professional curbside cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing for residential and commercial trash, recycling, and organic waste bins. Our process uses high‑pressure, high‑temperature equipment and eco‑friendly cleaning agents to remove grime, bacteria, and odors.
2. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure Crystal Clear Bins can provide the best results, the customer agrees to:
- Empty Bins: Bins must be completely empty of all trash and debris. Crystal Clear Bins will not bag or dispose of leftover trash.

- Placement: Bins must be left at the curbside or a pre-arranged accessible location on the scheduled service day.

- Prohibited Contents: Bins must be free of hazardous waste (e.g., paint, motor oil, chemicals), unbagged pet waste, and heavy construction materials (e.g., concrete, gravel). Crystal Clear Bins reserves the right to refuse service for bins containing these items without a refund.
2. a Unable to Service & No-Show Policy
- To ensure efficient routing and cover vehicle dispatch costs, customer bins must be completely empty and accessible on the scheduled service day.
- Standard Penalty: If our technician arrives and bins are uncollected, full of trash, or inaccessible, the visit will be logged as an “Attempted Service.” A $20 fee will apply to cover route travel costs.
- If the customer chooses to have service completed before their next regular monthly cycle, the rescheduled visit will be billed at their standard plan rate once all outstanding account balances and fees are settled.
- First-Time Courtesy: We understand life happens. For a customer’s first occurrence, Crystal Clear Bins will waive the penalty or offer a one-time rescheduled visit at our discretion.
- Hauler Delays Exception: If your local waste provider (e.g., GFL) is delayed or running behind schedule through no fault of your own, please notify us as soon as possible. No trip fee will be assessed, and we will attempt service once collection is complete.
3. Scheduling and Access
- Timing: Service typically occurs the day of or the day following your scheduled trash collection.
- Property Access: By hiring Crystal Clear Bins, you grant our technicians permission to access the exterior of your property to service the bins.
- Weather & Delays: In the event of extreme weather or mechanical failure, Crystal Cans will notify you and reschedule your service for the next available window.
4. Water Usage and Environment
- Water Source: Our specialized trucks carry their own water supply.
- Wastewater: Crystal Clear Bins is committed to environmental safety. All wastewater is collected and disposed of according to local environmental regulations to prevent runoff into storm drains.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
- Recurring Billing: For subscription plans (Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Quarterly), Crystal Cans will automatically charge the credit card on file on the scheduled billing date.
- One-Time Service: Payment is due at the time of service.
- Non-Payment: If payment is not received, service will be paused until the account is settled.
- Multiple Bins on different days: If you request cleaning of two bins that fall on two different days of the week, they are charged as separate services, and are not able to apply the $5 Additional Bin but will be charged and two full priced plans.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- Notice Period: Subscription cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 1 Week prior to the service date.

7. Condition of Bins & Liability
- Pre-existing Damage: Crystal Clear Bins is not responsible for damage to bins that are already cracked, brittle, or have faulty handles/wheels.
- Stain Removal: While our process is highly effective, we cannot guarantee the removal of “permanent” stains such as dried paint, hardened adhesives, or deep-set oil/grease stains that have bonded with the plastic.
- Modifications to trash bins: If a trash bin has been tampered / damaged whereas the damage would cause wastewater discharge into the ground or allow for pressurized water to escape during cleaning, Crystal Clear Bins will refuse to service the bin until the bin is corrected.
8. Promotion and Photography
Crystal Clear Bins reserves the right to take photos of your bins for quality assurance and marketing purposes. We will ensure that no personal information (such as house numbers or street names) is visible in promotional photos.
Customers WILL BE notified and given time to review all photography before being posted if personal property (not the trash can) is visible.
9. Benefit Of the Doubt
- Due to life getting in the way at times, Crystal Clear Bins will wave Customer Responsibilities Subsection 1 & 2 based on amount of trash found in can, location of trash bin if pulled away from street side, and consistency of customer following the rules therein.
- Crystal Clear Bins will notify as a reminder to the terms & conditions.
- Trash will be place back into trash can after cleaning if Crystal Clear Bins waves Customer Responsibilities Subsection 1
10. Right to Refuse Service
Crystal Clear Bins reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend, or discontinue service at any time where conditions present a risk to employee safety, violate applicable law, or otherwise fall outside the scope of lawful service operations.
This right is supported by:
- OSHA General Duty Clause (29 U.S.C. § 654(a)(1))
- North Carolina OSHA Requirements (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 95‑129(1))
- NC Trespass Law (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14‑159.13)
- Federal Civil Rights Act (42 U.S.C. § 2000a)
- NC Unfair & Deceptive Practices Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 75‑1.1)
- NCDEQ wastewater regulations
Crystal Clear Bins may refuse or discontinue service if any of the following conditions exist, including but not limited to the examples provided:
A. Unsafe or Unsanitary Conditions
Examples include:
- Bins containing loose medical waste, syringes, or sharps
- Bins contaminated with animal carcasses, blood, or bodily fluids
- Presence of aggressive insects, wasp nests, or rodent activity
- Bins overflowing with maggots or decomposing waste beyond reasonable sanitation levels
- Surrounding area containing broken glass, nails, or hazardous debris
B. Hazardous, Prohibited, or Illegal Materials
Examples include:
- Chemicals, solvents, oils, or flammable liquids
- Paint, adhesives, or industrial waste
- Human or animal feces not properly bagged
- Ammunition, fireworks, or explosive materials
- Drug paraphernalia or controlled substances
C. Environmental or Regulatory Violations
Examples include:
- Situations where wastewater would enter a storm drain, ditch, or waterway
- Bins located in areas where cleaning would violate NCDEQ stormwater rules
- Customer requests to dump wastewater on the property or into drains
D. Blocked, Unsafe, or Unreasonable Access
Examples include:
- Bins behind locked gates with no access code provided
- Bins placed near aggressive dogs or animals
- Bins located in areas with unsafe terrain, mud, or unstable surfaces
- Bins placed inside garages, sheds, or areas requiring entry into a structure
Crystal Clear Bins may refuse, suspend, or discontinue service if a customer engages in abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate conduct toward staff, whether in person, electronically, or through any online platform.
This includes conduct occurring on:
- Social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Nextdoor)
- Online community forums or neighborhood groups
- Messaging apps (e.g., SMS, email, Messenger, WhatsApp)
- Public comment sections or review platforms
- Any digital communication directed at Crystal Clear Bins or its employees
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Posting harassing, threatening, or defamatory statements about staff
- Coordinating or encouraging online harassment campaigns
- Using social media to intimidate, threaten, or coerce employees
- Publishing false claims intended to damage the business or staff reputation
- Sending hostile, abusive, or profane messages through email, text, or social platforms
- Filming or photographing staff in a harassing, confrontational, or unsafe manner
- Tagging or mentioning the business online in a way intended to threaten, shame, or provoke employees
F. Repeated Violations of Service Requirements
Examples include:
- Bins repeatedly left full on service day
- Bins consistently containing prohibited materials
- Chronic failure to provide access after multiple reminders
- Customers refusing to correct issues after documented notices
G. Requests Outside the Lawful Scope of Services
Examples include:
- Requests to clean inside homes, garages, or private structures
- Requests to dispose of trash, hazardous waste, or construction debris
- Requests to bypass environmental regulations or safety protocols
Crystal Clear Bins may exercise this right with or without prior notice. If service is refused due to customer actions or conditions, no refund, credit, or rescheduling obligation applies.
11. Changes to Terms
Crystal Clear Bins may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the most current version.
